I couldn't agree more! That's exactly what my friend and I were talking about...trying to figure out her daughter's learning style before choosing a curriculum.

I wrote more about choosing a curriculum <a href="http://www.readingcoachonline.com/5-questions-to-ask-before-buying-homeschool-curriculum/" rel="nofollow">here</a>

Thanks for sharing, Topsy-Techie!

I think it is really important to know your child's learning style before picking and choosing curriculum. Auditory learners do well with a different sort of curriculum than visual learners. We tried several different curricula for our son before finally finding one that fit his visual learning style. He uses Time4Learning, now, an online curriculum that is multimedia and interactive and very, very visual. This has made all the difference.
